Ziv and I started watching Season 1 of Big Love a few weeks before the big FLDS thing that's going on in Texas.  I LOVE watching TV on DVD.  It's sooo satisfying in so many ways.  I'm now totally hooked on this show.  I'm checking out the website, we've plowed through season 1 and now we're almost done with season 2, I've got this damn song stuck ( Read more... )

When I was 8, I learned to use a word processor.  My school gave us software and typing tests and we had at it on a regular basis.  It became one of the first schools in the state to add a words-per-minute typing requirement to gradutation.

At 9, we were given Turtle BASIC to learn programming.  Write a program to make the turtle draw an octagon.  ( Read more... )

As part of my myriad of responsibilities at work, I just got back from fetching lunch for several people from the strip mall across the road.  I left the order at the Asian place and popped a few doors down to pick up an Iced Chai from a cafe while I waited.  At the cafe, I noticed their sandwich of the day was the Monster Munster BLT.  It got me ( Read more... )
